Heather is a Quincy High School student, but for her portraits we went on location to Davenport WA (near Spokane) to a neat old farm owned by the family. No one lives there anymore, but the the location was perfect. The weather had been a bit stormy, but it calmed down in the evening and the remaining clouds gave us some stunning images.
Big props to heather and her hoarse Snickers for doing such a great job. The top image is one of my favorites, but there were so many to choose from. Heather will be getting a senior album so she can show all her poses as well as a one of our canvas Wall Portraits of the image above. It’s going to look great in their home. Here’s a few shots from Jacob’s Tuesday session. There’s lots of cool ones, but these are some of my favorites. I especially like the birds in the background and the mood of this fist shot.
These were taken near Ritzville Washington, on a bridge that spanned this pond. It was getting pretty dark and I needed something dramatic. The clouds had wasted out my dreams a stunning sunset, and I knew we had to try something fast.
Looking around at the light, I got an idea (almost by accident) The car headlights had gone on, and cast light and shadows across their path. I decided to try something I had never done before by parking the car across the road with the lights on Jacob. After editing, and a few of my Lightroom effects I was able to get some super cool results… Gav
