If you want boring EVERYDAY senior portraits you’re in the wrong place. My name is Gavin Seim and I photograph creative, relaxed portrait sessions planned specifically for every senior. The goal is to show who you are, make you look amazing and have fun doing it, then turn it into a collection fun enough for Facebook and stunning enough to hang in a gallery. If you’re looking for everyday cap and gown shots I’m probably “not the photographer you’re looking for”. Wait, was that a Star Wars pun?

What to expect?
If you’re still reading you probably want senior portraits that are not canned and boring. Your portraits will reflect your style and do it with class. During your pre-session consultation we’ll talk about ideas and nail down what type of look you want. Most sessions are shot on location in places that are you. The park, the football field, on the boat, under the water, in the air. Whatever you want. We can also plan session in our studio. Bottom line… Expect to have fun, and get portraits that are amazing.

Sessions are available anywhere in Washington State. Seriously we go all over. You can come to us, or we’ll come to you. Our packages are pretty straight forward and each session is shot personally by myself and customized to your needs. If you have a challenge, I’m probably up for it. Retouching is always included too.

We’re not happy if you aren’t. Really, I’m a bit fanatical about making every session perfect and we’re so confident you’ll love your portraits that if you don’t, we’ll do a complete re-shoot. If it’s still not working out we’ll give you a refund. Our goal is to make amazing portraits and our guarantee is that you’ll get just that.

A few thoughts on preparing for your session.

  • Consultation: We’ll start with a consultation before the actual shoot day. Gavin will meet with you and get acquainted, discuss your interests and help decide on a variety of images that works for you.
  • Sleep: Get a good nights sleep the night before your session. Come wearing the first outfit that you want to be photographed in, but bring others so you can have variety.
  • Hair & Makeup: Do your hair and makeup in a way you feel represents you. There’s no need to go over the top with something you’re not used to. Look like your going on a hot date, but maybe not to the prom. Just make sure everything’s clean and fresh so you can feel relaxed  and enjoy yourself
  • Interests: During your consultation we’ll talk about things from your daily life; an instrument, something that represents you. We’ll use your favorite stuff as props to get cool shots. Of course you’re welcome to use our toys too, like our nearly authentic Lightsabers. If you have cars, horses, boats, or other large items you want to be a part of your session that’s great too. We’ll discuss it during your consultation so we can plan ahead and get some really unique shots.
  • Clothes: Bring clothes that reflect your look. Bring a variety. Something casual, something classy and even something a little sassy is fine. Colors can vary, simple parings or bold contrasts. Again, variety is best. We’ll talk about this further during your consultation.
  • Friends: You can also bring a friend or two along, yes a parent too if you like. This can actually make things more relaxed because your used to being together and having fun; your friends can help you be yourself. Try to keep it to two or three people besides yourself. A big audience can add confusion.
