I though I’d start posting some favorite folios from recent sessions. My digital Folios come with most senior packages and are a 10×10 2 page collage layout.
I design these similar to how I design my custom wedding albums. They come in a cool leatherette. It’s kinda like a two page book, and they look great on the mantle. I really like Kasey’s folio because if it’s bold color. Click for a BIG view. More coming soon.

Here’s a fun senior session from a few days ago. We went to a few of the cool locations around Ephrata for some great shots. Football season is in full swing, and the portraits at the Tiger’s field are some of my personal favorites. They really conveyed Brett’s relaxed style. Brett also plays guitar so we got some fun shots of him playing as well. Here’s a few of my favorites. Click for larger views, and also check out the full gallery… Gav

Another senior session right here in in Ephrata. Daniel was a really nice local guy, and though he was a little reserved he started relaxing, especially once we got him in his own element kicking the soccer ball around.
I like #2. Kind of a fun silly shot, but Daniel really reminds me of an older version of Malcolm (Frankie Muniz) in this shot. Here’s that and a few other favs. As always click any image for the BIG view.
There’s three key control points I find in a portrait. The eye’s, the mouth, and the hands. By guiding those three points, and letting the subjects own personality do the rest, you can make them laugh, smirk, and jump for joy all in the same session.
The backgrounds and the props are useful tools of course, but are all relative to helping with the three keys. Almost any scene can be a great one. I just say a prayer for some guidance in helping me find what’s great about it, and how to put it to use.
I shoot all over the state, so this session for Casey in my own town of Ephrata was relaxing and fun. Casey did a great job. She came off a little shy at first, but I soon decided out she wasn’t really that shy. She just needed to start having some fun, and once she did we were off.

It’s senior season, and I’ve been keeping on the run. Now’s the time to book your sessions if your wanting senior portraits this summer.
This session was in Wenatchee with Cam. He was a really great subject, and enjoyed having fun with his portraits. I always try to make each portrait session personal, and these Wenatchee settings worked out perfect for Cam.
During the last few frames it started poring down rain and we had to rush, but it made some neat raindrop effects. Click an image for a larger view, and click the link below for the complete gallery… Gav
